Our Story

Through generous funding and support of the administration at the Community College of Baltimore County, Compass Press is currently the only literary press housed at a community college in the United States. Our mission is simple: to provide a forum for the dissemination of quality literary works, similar to a university press.

 

Our main criteria is quality; subject matter is wide open. But all things being equal, we gravitate toward stories that are reflective of the diversity we experience and celebrate at CCBC.
